Can I legally use these names to email them specials and updates on my company? Some say no because they did not ask to be on my list. I have purchased from many, many companies that simply start emailing me within weeks of purchasing and I never asked for these. I called eBay and they say there is nothing they can do if it doesn’t go through their system. Any thoughts?

What’s the better free email to use for a business? G Mail or Yahoo (or others)? I of course want it to look professional. But also be easily sorted, good contact list setup, tools – things like that. And with yahoo I can only attach 3 pics per email which can be annoying. I’m just not sure if that’s standard or if other email providers (is that the right term, lol) are better?
@ My Take On It – I see your point of view, but what you may not realize is that businesses do use free email. You may type in “info@partyspot.com” – but the owner retrieves it from “Gmail”.

I have a small business & need to send out allot of email every day.
I hosted my email server at google under their classification of “Standard Edition(free)” package. But looks like they have amximum limit of 1000mail/day.

There is another package they have listed with “Premier Edition($50/employee/yr)” but have not specified any max limit for this account.

Does anyone know what is the max limit for “Premier Edition($50/employee/yr)” package?

Also please let me know if you have good experiences with any-other reliable/user friendly email hosting service!

FYI, I tried yahoo but it not that user friendly when worked directly on net.
I have routed all my domain related mails to google small business email server solution.

If I install an email server to my local linux box then it brings along the baggage of admin responsibilities, too, which I wish to avoid.

Denise M asked:

I am the author of a business book that’s specifically targeted to women, home-based business owners. It’s already considered a business bestseller. After the holidays I’m interested in doing a promotional campaign to make my book a bestseller on Amazon.com.

To do this I have to find people with good, current email DB lists (can be a few hundred to thousands) that contains a lot of women, home-based business owners.

Of course there’s a win-win benefit for those list owners who decide to work with me.

Any ideas where I can locate people with good lists.

In reply to Cassandra’s question – the name of my book is “Testosterone-Free Marketing” and you can get a personally autographed copy at http://www.tfmbook.com It’s a myth-shattering book for thousands of women who’ve read it and created more cash flow in their businesses.

Hi Spamdex:

I’ve contacted list brokers in the past and amazingly they don’t have lists of “women, home-based business owners.” Surprising, but true. They have “home-based business owners” and they have “women” but not both to make it more specific.

Plus, they “seed” their lists so that if you send more than one email – it’s a problem since you’re renting the list for one time only. With an Amazon push you send a series of 7-8 emails so that doesn’t quite cut the mustard.

What I need to find are people with a site and an ezine for example that goes out to several thousand people. Or, a top level MLMer with a big email list.

I can’t actually use their list. The emails have to come from the owner of the list – but I write them. I’ve watched very closely how other authors I know closely do this and generally list brokers would be an excellent answer but not in this particular situation.

thanks much, Spamdex.

This is a two-part question. A friend is starting a new business and I’m going to be attempting to spread the word through various online connections. One thing I’d like to do is send out a mass e-mail announcing the presence of the business. I won’t be spamming people’s mailboxes or sending multiple emails, it’ll just be a one time hit or miss attempt to create awareness. So this leads me to my questions:

1) Where can I find large lists of active email addresses?

and

2) How can I send out an email to ideally hundreds at a time?
